We will continue our journey northwards towards Central Mongolia. Our overnight stop will be in the Middle Gobi province, specifically at the Ongi monastery ruins. We will drive to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire, which was established by Ugudei Khaan in 1235. This city held great strategic importance as it was situated at the crossroads of traditional routes, serving as a vital staging post for migrating nomads and merchant caravans. Notable figures such as foreign envoys and prominent clerics would visit Kharkhorin to seek an audience with the Mongolian Empire’s kings.
Although the capital was later moved to Beijing in 1264 under King Hubilai’s orders, the remnants of Kharkhorin were destroyed by Manchu soldiers. However, the bricks and stones from the ancient city were repurposed to construct the nearby Erdene Zuu Monastery. Thus, the legacy of the old city lives on through the monastery, which stands as a testament to the rich history of Kharkhorin. Prepare to immerse yourself in the historical significance of this ancient capital as we explore its ruins and visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however.
